CAS244 – tearing and/or distressing (Made in October)

Not something we do a lot on CAS cards. Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Made in 2009 when part of the DRS design team.

Today’s challenge is to use dimensionals / pop-up dots on your clean & simple cards.

I used just a portion of the sentiment on the card front. It continues on the inside: “A day of fun, unless you’re a turkey… Then you’re on the run! Have a wonderful day!”

The curved cut of the dp was done by hand. The turkeys’ hats are popped up on dimensionals only once.

All stamps from DRS Designs: High Tailin’ Turkey (F297), Turkey on the Run Greeting (G318)

Stamp: High Tailin’ Turkey – DRS Designs

Ink:I used Copic markers for the turkey and SU creamy caramel ink for the ground. First I sponged the ink, starting from the edge and sponging towards the center. Then I used my markers to add some “pebbles”.

Cardstock: white, sahara sand, sage shadow, and To the Nines dsp.

Accessories: brads

Tools: scalloped Nestie, Martha Stewart zig-zag edge punch.
