Flashback Friday – Ways to Use Script

Thursday’s Ways to Use It challenge on SCS was all about using script. “You can use an old book page, music sheets, stamped script, or your own hand writing on your card.” Well, I wasn’t able to make a new card, so I thought I would browse my galleries and look for some ways I’ve used it in the past. Here are a few of my faves.

CAS131 – It’s CAS to some and not to others. Regardless, I wanted to show one example of a partial image where I purposely didn’t completely stamp the script background.

SCS Featured Stamper: pawallen142

* Same colors and layout (But I used more kraft instead of white and red.)
* Different script, flower images, and embossing folder
* Instead of taffeta ribbon, I used organdy ribbon.
* Instead of of a border punch, I used a Nestabilities die cut.

Rubbernecker Stamps: Wildflowers (496_01), French Script BG (448)
Paper: GP white, SU kraft
Ink: SU crumb cake, real red & wild wasabi
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities scallop rectangle die, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF

And I made this one 2 months ago.

Clean and Simple – Inpsired by Music

This week, the Clean & Simple Challenge was to be inspired by music. I was so tempted to pull out my favorite Christmas music stamp (O Holy Night), but I have several music stamps that go unused. I ended up making two cards, one with Stampin’ Up stamps and one with a Unity stamp.

Recipe for “You Make my Heart Sing”

Stamp: Unity

Color: SU riding hood red

Tools: Cuttlebug swiss dots EF, Spellbinders Nestabilities

Accessories: SU taffeta ribbon

I received a few comments from stampers who liked the red and white. Hint: You’ll get a challenge soon 🙂

Recipe: Just a Note

Stamps: Mini Mates (I feel like I’ve had this set for ages and haven’t used it in ages, too.)

Paper: old olive, real red

Ink: always artichoke, real red

Accessories: real red gingham ribbon (It’s making me very sad that I’m almost out of this ribbon. I wonder if SU still sells it.)

And just because I couldn’t resist seeing these cards again, here are the cards I’ve made in the past using Stamp Camp’s “O Holy Night” music stamp.
